So, I stayed home sick today as I have some crud, but the following video made me laugh when it hit my Google Reader from Laughing Squid.

I found this at John Gruber’s Daring Fireball and I think David Sedaris makes an excellent comparison. I’m not normally a big Sedaris fan, but I did think this take on undecided voters in this election year was right on the money!
To put them in perspective, I think of being on an airplane. The flight attendant comes down the aisle with her food cart and, eventually, parks it beside my seat. “Can I interest you in the chicken?” she asks. “Or would you prefer the platter of shit with bits of broken glass in it?”
To be undecided in this election is to pause for a moment and then ask how the chicken is cooked.
Just to be clear, I used to be very fond of McCain if not an out and out supporter. However, his decisions and behavior in this election show me that he has no strongly held beliefs that cannot be thrown out the window in an effort to amass power and position. Sarah Palin as VP is a joke and her place on the tickets shows that his “maverick” nature is simply reckless ill-informed choices without thought to the consequences. Honestly, I’m just as frustrated with the Republican party as with McCain and I think they need a good thrashing to maybe learn that this country is not God, Guns and hating/mistrusting those different than you. America is a melting pot; pure and simple. We have all sorts of people and ideologies within our borders and I hope this election shows that inclusion trumps fear, uncertainty, and doubt.
I bought the ‘Cars’ hat for Ben earlier this year while on the North Carolina Coast. Heather then got the idea to dress Ben up as a race car driver for Halloween and bought the ‘Cars’ jumpsuit. Tonight, he tried it on for the first time and loved it
Oh, and as far as the pain train goes…Blame Heather for that and just check this out to understand.
If you value your geek cred, you’re obviously already reading xkcd. Well, hopefully you are as it can be damn funny, but this one caught my eye tonight

I got quite a kick out of this:
This is a guy who does papercraft for a living and wanted to support Obama, so he made a free Obama papercraft model available. I think I may give this a try even though I haven’t traditionally been into paper modeling. Looks like fun…

While McCain suspends his campaign

I thought this was cute, but if you don’t know what the heck this is based on, please read about it here.
McCain suspended his campaign to help, but he’ll do anything but as he is trying to inject political gain into the emergency. I don’t know whether we should bail out the financial sector or not, but I do know McCain will NOT make the process better.
ThreatDown - Killer iPhones | The Colbert Report | Comedy Central
I give you the iPhone of Stephen Colbert. He showed his beauty off while considering the revelation by Steve Jobs that the iPhone has a “kill” switch. Oh noes, who will be the first to fall victim to this sexy dangerous electronic gadget and is Steve just trying to take over the world?
BTW - what’s the light green app icon in the lower right corner? I can’t read the name and the icon doesn’t seem familiar?
