I’ve been looking for a gift idea to suggest to H for our Anniversary and couldn’t really make a decision. Well, Amazon just made it for me. I was looking over my RSS feeds and I noticed a story on Engadget HD on how the Xbox 360 HD-DVD Player add-on’s price was dropped to $129 at Amazon. This seems to have pushed me over the edge. I still think Blu-ray may ultimately be the winner, but who knows and I think this format war is long from over. Maybe I will buy both formats at some point as I am still kicking around a PS3 
Also, this solves an issue for me in that I wanted to pick a better than DVD version of the new Ultimate Collector’s Edition of Blade Runner. Now I know to pick it up in HD-DVD.
